STARVE ISLAND AND SOUTH OF GREEN ISLAND 4/28

Started just south of Starve Island and the first fish pulled was a 10 lb. walleye. Pulled four quick and the bite slowed. Moved to south of Green and "game on". Pulled another 18 walleyes for a total of 23 fish. Gross weight was 155 lbs. Reef Runners ruled with fruit loop, copperhead, pink lemonade, and pink panties catching most of the fish. What a nice box of fish. See you on the water!

  1. Great job taking all of those big pregnant females out of the lake! Just as bad as those jack wagons pulling em out of the river.

  2. Of the 23 fish we caught that day all were spawned out but one fish. Keep in mind that older females may not lay their eggs especially the older fish. I have seen multiple boxes of walleye this past week and the majority of those fish were also spawned out. As you probably know most surrounding states close the spawning season for walleye fishing It would be interesting to see how our hatch results turn out if Ohio followed that procedure. Thanks for your comments and following my website.
