TACO BELL AND MIDDLE ISLAND 6/7
Started in the Taco Bell area with good marks and pulled 9 walleyes the first two hours pulling harnesses and Scorpion spoons on 40 Tru-Trips back 30 to 35 feet. Both programs worked but the fish shut down and when there were too many boats to troll properly so a move was made to Middle Island. Caught an additional 15 fish with most caught on harnesses back 35 feet. Best colors were orange and yellow beads with gold willow leaf blades taped with corresponding green or chartreuse tape. Concentrated on small pockets of fish, no long trolls. Best trolling speed still between 1.8 to 2.0 knots. If you find and catch a few fish turning back and working that area repeatedly may increase you success rate. See you on the water!
