GULL SHOAL 6/22
Fished the west side of Gull Shoal since no one wanted to get Canadian licenses. Half day trip and the bite was good for about two hours from 8:30 to 10:30 with 15 walleyes and no big fish but still a decent size. All harnesses on Tru-Trips with 35 and 40 foot leads and a speed of 1.7 knots. Lots of marks at 28 feet but could not pull any of the fish at the deeper depths. Ran some 65 foot leads but the deeper fish would not cooperate. The Canadian bite slowed down today with most captains taking most of the day to get 30 to 36 fish. Running tomorrow to Canada not sure where but maybe east of Middle Island and going North. The walleye bite along the weather buoy has also slowed down with lost of white bass the last couple of days. It seems that the 90 degree temperatures has really slowed the walleye action. See you on the water.
