SOUTH EAST CORNER PELEE ISLAND 8/16

Started fishing north of Hen Island and pulled only 8 fish in four hours, good marks but lots of grass. Moved south east of Pelee Island and trolled east pulling 16 walleyes in two hours. Little grass but nothing major, however, there was considerable amounts of algae. Continue to run same program, 40 Tru-Trips, harnesses and double willow leaf blades. Blades were black/gold, green/gold, red/pink and purple/gold. The best speed was 1.7 knots with leads of 75 and 80 pulling most of the fish. It was certainly nice to get away from the grass. It looks like the algae could really get bad this year. See you on the water!
